Warm, welcoming and open plan
The School Rooms was originally built to extend the 1864 primitive Chapel for Sunday School use. It’s now a warm and welcoming open-plan living space in which to stay for your holiday.
We added the Chapel as a satellite property to our little hamlet of five luxury self-catering holiday cottages, just a short 6 mins drive away.
When you book a Chapel property with us, you get the benefit of free access to all the facilities on offer at our nearby hamlet, including a woodland hot tub pass, children’s play area (indoor and outdoor), valley view tea room, woodland walks and treetop picnic platform, and onsite falconry experiences (pre-booking is essential). You can reserve your woodland hot tub session with towels (changing room and wc). We also include our Flexible Cancellation policy which enables cancellation up to 2 days before your check-in day. Read more about our flexible cancellation policy:
Stroll from your allocated free private parking and unlock the School Rooms’ front door and step onto the hallway with its polished oak floor. The original flight of wide chapel stairs leads to a warm and welcoming chandeliered landing.
The open-plan sitting room/dining kitchen is flooded with light from three tall Chapel windows with lovely views over the endless forest canopy. A comfy sofa and armchairs flank the smart TV system. The modern well-equipped kitchen with integrated appliances includes a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, gas hob, double electric oven and a microwave.
Across the landing master bedroom with double size bed, next to a second bedroom with double size bed, and a shared bathroom between the two. The bathroom features a powerful shower over the bath.
Outside: Shared seating area and BBQ area with pretty planters. Cycle Store.
Included for your stay:

Very stylish and comfortable School Rooms accommodation – and a great base for family days out.
Amy, John and family
This is the second holiday that we have had at the Chapel - we were so pleased with the service and accomodation. We arrived early and Geoff let us in straight away. The welcome hamper was lovely and the accomodation was beautifully clean and had everything we wanted/needed. We love this part of the country and the location is perfect for walking and relaxing. We will be booking again for next year without a doubt. Thank you to Lynda and Geoff for your excellent service and hospitalilty.
