Cosy Treat, as its name belies, is a real ‘bolt-hole’ for a cosy treat. Built as a 1910 extension to the 1864 Primitive Chapel it has become very popular since it set a new standard as a chic, high quality, self catering property.
Cosy Treat offers such fabulous accommodation we added it as a satellite residence of our little hamlet of 5 properties 6 mins drive away. Booking one of our Chapel properties with Hot Tub Pass means you enjoy the benefit of self-catering, flexibility and privacy, with the luxury of a secluded woodland hot tub. A pass means you can reserve the hot tub with towels (changing room and wc) and soft play rooms for our younger guests all free of charge. The Hamlet also has: Woodland Walks and Valley View Tea-Room. Angela, in the Tea-room serves traditional full afternoon tea, cakes and cream teas. Check with us for opening times. Click 'Our Properties Nearby' above or follow this link to view our hamlet properties.
Through a gate from the allocated parking unlock Cosy Treat’s front door. The front door opens into an open plan living room/dining room/kitchen. Ahead a kitchen with pale ash wood coloured units which hide the many gadgets we can’t do without: dishwasher, fridge with separate freezer, washer/dryer and a gas hob with electric double oven. The glass bistro table and dining chairs await the next gathering.
Through the arch up two very shallow steps*, with sofa, easy chairs stunning lamps and TV. Round the coffee table to the inner hall. At the end a double bedded room with double size bed and next to it a single with 3’ bed. The shared bathroom with a bath has a power shower over and glass shower screen.
Outside: seating area with garden furniture, BBQ, parasol. Cycle rack for padlocking your cycle too.
Walk to the pub.

This is the second holiday that we have had at the Chapel - we were so pleased with the service and accomodation. We arrived early and Geoff let us in straight away. The welcome hamper was lovely and the accomodation was beautifully clean and had everything we wanted/needed. We love this part of the country and the location is perfect for walking and relaxing. We will be booking again for next year without a doubt. Thank you to Lynda and Geoff for your excellent service and hospitalilty.
